Genetics

The genetics program integrates disciplines ranging from molecular and cellular genetics to evolutionary genetics and genomics in microbial, plant, and animal systems. It is a non-thesis program. This Master’s degree takes 30 credit hours to complete. Students will have the opportunity to earn a graduate certificate while pursuing this degree. The graduates are equipped for successful careers in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, academic and government research laboratories, and are prepared for doctoral programs, medical school, and health-related professional programs.
