Master of Science (M.S.) in Criminology & Criminal Justice is a thirty (30) school credit hour (SCH) degree designed to prepare the practicing criminal justice professional.  The non-thesis degree program offers the busy professional an easy and convenient way to prepare the criminal justice field practitioner for a role as a specialty leader, organizational leader, or public service administrator.

 

Designed for:

·        individuals already working in the criminal justice field

·        individuals seeking to advance within the field of criminal justice and public service

·        individuals seeking to pursue an academic career within the field of criminology and criminal justice and intend to pursue doctoral study in Criminology & Criminal Justice

 

Credit by Experience:

·        Practitioners and Military may be eligible for additional credit conversion of CALEA or Military training equivalents.

 

General Admissions Criteria:


1. Complete the online Graduate Admissions Application
2. Submit required transcript(s) to the College of ___________ Director of Graduate Admissions & Student Support. For full admission, an official transcript that reflects conferral of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited undergraduate institution must be submitted before the first term of being registered for graduate courses.
3. Submit a 500 word personal essay/writing sample
4. Submit a professional resume

·        Completion or equivalent of: Introduction to Criminal Justice (3 SCH)and Criminology (3 SCH)
