Student or Education Record

It is important to note that not all records are education records, though they may be collected from students. Education records DO NOT include:

Medical records maintained for providing treatment to the student
Employment records that have no relationship to student status
Alumni records
Applicant or admission records, unless or until the student enrolls in classes
Law enforcement records
Records or notes in the sole possession of the maker that are not accessible or revealed to any other person
